For over 100 years, YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley mission is to eliminate racism and empower women with
programs focused on 1) empowering people and communities in healing from the trauma of racism, bigotry, and
violence, 2) achieving solutions to homelessness for people impacted by racism, gender inequality, and violence and 3)
inspiring opportunity and economic security by closing the prosperity and education gap. We focus the provision of
these services to those impacted by race and gender inequality, and we use an intersectional and intergenerational
approach that recognizes the compounding impact of oppression. Be a key part of shaping this future as our new
Donor Relations & Data Specialist in our Philanthropy Department.
Reporting to the Director of Annual Campaign, the Donor Relations & Data Specialist provides is responsible for the
successful execution of philanthropic engagement activities that include donor gift and data processing, donor
prospecting, cultivation and stewardship, signature fundraising events, corporate development, and engagement. The
Record, process, reconcile, acknowledge all contributions.
Maintain data integrity and conduct periodic data audit.
Lead set up of microsites as required.
Generate reports, mailing lists, analytical analysis as required.
Manage the moves management pipeline within the database to support the Major Gifts Program.
Provide highest level of stewardship to all stakeholders involved.
Execute event-related activities as assigned.
Candidates must have:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
1 -2 years’ experience in a relational database (ex. Raiser’s Edge, LiveImpact, GiveEffects, GreenLight, Neon
CRM, Salesforce, Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, etc.)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to influence and engage a wide range of
stakeholders to build long-term relationships
High attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects at once and deal with competing priorities from
Experience, or interest in, understanding how to identify, cultivate, stewardship and solicit gifts
Understanding of, and sensitivity to gender-based violence and a strong commitment to racial justice
Understand sensitive nature of information and maintain confidentiality
Work hours are primarily daytime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. with scheduling flexibility. Delivery of service may include
overtime to accomplish task at hand. Must be hands-on and attend local YWCA signature events, and other travel when required. Work includes lifting equipment up to 40 pounds. Prolonged periods of sitting may be required.
Required: Cleared background check (fingerprinting), valid TB test, valid California driver’s license and auto insurance. Ability to work remotely and have reliable Internet.
