THERAPIST TRAINING
The YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley Healing Center provides intensive training for marriage and family therapist trainees and registered associates.
We develop high-quality, well-informed, self-aware, and compassionate therapists.
Through training, mentoring, and supervision, we train mental health professionals who provide culturally-appropriate, trauma-focused therapy services that are both client- driven and strength-based. Our experienced supervisors have extensive experience in trauma therapy and many other mental health issues.
At its core, trauma-focused care is a deep understanding of the importance of client choice and an unwavering belief in the uniqueness of each client’s healing journey as it connects to their belief systems about self, family, and relationships with the world.
Through our program, therapists will be ready to help those struggling with the aftermath of child abuse, domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, and generational trauma.
