Employability
Your YWCA has over a century of service focused on supporting women in their pursuit of economic stability and reducing poverty rates among community members.
We’ve built a model that works. Through digital upskilling and reskilling classes, job training, one-on-one coaching, and job placement services, we walk alongside women as they navigate change.
The Problem
We understand the challenges that women face including systemic barriers like racial and gender discrimination, limited access to quality education and training, and socio-economic factors that hinder career advancement. Women who have suffered from trauma may experience additional barriers, such as mental health issues and lack of support systems, that impact their ability to secure and retain employment.
The Solution
Your YWCA’s classes offer a safe, respectful and non-judgmental place for women to build their skills and their connections to the community. By providing targeted programs and services, YWCA aims to empower women with the skills, resources, and confidence needed to overcome obstacles, achieve economic independence, and create a more equitable workforce.
