REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE

Cleared background check (fingerprinting), valid TB test, Tdap, Influenza, MMR, and CPR certification. This position requires a Covid-19 vaccination due to the in-person interfacing required, and to promote the health and safety of others in the workplace and our community.

Full-Time (40 hours/week), Hourly, Non-Exempt.

Base Hourly Pay: $26.00 – $28.00

Reporting to the Youth and Family Services Program Director provides child care services to individuals and families.

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and reliable individual with a high level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence. Essential to this role is a demonstrated ability to work with culturally and economically diverse individuals and families.

Candidates must the requirements:

  • A fully qualified teacher shall have more than 24 semester units in early childhood education from an accredited college, including courses covering child growth and development; child, family, and community; and program/curriculum
  • Qualified teachers will meet the requirements outlined by Title 22 for the designated age group
  • Candidate must have 3 years of experience
  • The ability to work as a member of a teaching group, prepare lesson plans, and engage with parents.
  • Candidate must hold a valid Teacher permit issued by the commission on teacher credentialing

Work hours are primarily Monday-Friday. Schedule TBD. Delivery of service may include overtime to accomplish the task at hand. Work includes lifting up to 30 pounds. Susceptible to compassion fatigue and/or vicarious trauma.
