Led by YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley, the North County Family Justice Center (NCFJC) is a collaboration of multiple government agencies and community partners that provides services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. The NCFJC is staffed by attorneys and non-attorneys with a range of expertise, encompassing immigration law, family law, legal advocacy, criminal law (prosecutions), victim compensation assistance, and law enforcement support. Service providers include the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office, the Step Forward Foundation, family law attorneys, and YWCA advocates. The NCFJC also provides referrals to other agencies for further assistance if required.
As a Department of Justice certified agency, we support survivors of crime who are interested in applying for immigration visas: U, T, or VAWA.
We help survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking file for restraining and/or civil harassment orders, and we assist survivors in filing limited family law paperwork, in addition to accompanying them to court in criminal, civil and family law hearings.
