Support groups provide a safe space to focus on improving emotional wellbeing by practicing mindfulness, age-appropriate coping skills, and self-care through conversations, art, and games in community.

OUR SUPPORT GROUPS

We offer virtual support groups and hybrid in-person/virtual groups. Contact supportgroups@yourywca.org for our current group schedule.

This support group focuses on learning the dynamics of domestic violence (DV) and teaches tools to break out of certain patterns, while also encouraging survivors to become more independent

This support group provides a safe and supportive space where survivors can openly discuss their shared experiences and learn about various ways to recover from sexual assault.

 

This support group is for parents and loved ones of trauma survivors, to help gain an understanding of how to support their children. The group is focused on domestic violence and sexual assault education, coping skills and grounding techniques.

 

This group is a confidential space where LGBTQIA+ survivors can feel safe in their intersecting identities. Survivors can connect and support one other as they share about their common experiences and the ways that people heal from sexual assault and abuse.

Este programa para padres y seres queridos de sobrevivientes de trauma para entender a sus hijos/hijas en como apoyarlos. Nos centraremos en la educación DV/SA, las habilidades de afrontamiento y las técnicas de conexión a tierra.

Este programa busca mejorar la autoestima de adultos mayores con actividades y temas de autocuidado , afrontamientos saludables

This support group is for young adults (ages 18-25), to explore healing, self-awareness and emotional growth. The group focuses on meaningful conversations and wellness practices aimed at helping members to learn healthy coping strategies, build community and take steps toward their own mindfulness journey.

Este programa es para personas que han pasado por trauma. Nos centraremos en la educación violencia domestica y la
aggressión sexual, las habilidades de afrontamiento y las técnicas de conexión a tierra. Es un espacio para que miembros puedan compartir de sus experiencas.

This program is for children ages 5-11, providing a safe and supportive space where every child can shine. Through fun and engaging activities, we focus on helping children build resilience, develop self-confidence, and foster emotional intelligence. Participants will explore techniques for well-being, coping skills, and grounding. All while learning and growing in a collaborative and empowering environment.

 

Este programa está dirigido a niños de 5 a 11 años y ofrece un espacio seguro y de apoyo en el que todos los niños pueden brillar. A través de actividades divertidas y atractivas, nos centramos en ayudar a los niños a crear
resiliencia, desarrollar la confianza en sí mismos y fomentar la inteligencia emocional. Los participantes explorarán técnicas de bienestar, habilidades de afrontamiento y conexión a tierra. Aprenderán y crecerán en un entorno
de colaboración y empoderamiento.

This is a supportive and empowering group for teens (ages 12-17) to ignite their inner strength and creativity. Through meaningful activities and peer connections, we focus on building resilience, fostering emotional well-being,
and inspiring personal growth in a fun, uplifting environment. Participants will explore techniques for well-being, coping skills, and grounding techniques.

Healing Through Art

This no-cost workshop is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can express yourself through creative art-based activities.

Workshop is available to schedule on an as-needed bases.
